Top of The Line Air Purification and Whole Home Dehumidification System Install in Silverhill, AL

A homeowner in Silverhill, Alabama recently contacted our team with concerns about excess indoor humidity and condensation around air vents. Our experienced technicians, Justin and Jacob, performed a full system evaluation to identify the cause and recommend the best long-term solutions.

During the evaluation, indoor relative humidity levels were measured at 61%, which is higher than the recommended comfort range of 30–50%. While the HVAC system was functioning properly, it appeared to be slightly oversized for the home.

When a system cools the home too quickly, it does not run long enough to remove moisture from the air. This can leave homeowners feeling uncomfortable, cause condensation issues, and increase the risk of mold growth—even when temperatures feel “just right.”

To correct the humidity issue and improve overall comfort, Justin and Jacob recommended the following upgrades: Whole-Home Dehumidification System, APCO Air Purification System, and Sealing Air Leaks & Improving Insulation.

A dedicated dehumidifier was recommended to this client specifically to control indoor moisture levels. The system was installed into the return air ductwork and connected to the existing HVAC system, allowing it to manage humidity independently of cooling cycles. This upgrade has now improved comfort, reduced moisture-related issues, will continue to help protect the home from mold and mildew, and comes with a one year installation guarantee.

To enhance indoor air quality, we also installed an APCO air purification system. This system helps reduce airborne pollutants, odors, bacteria, and allergens—creating a healthier indoor environment for the entire household.

In addition to that, multiple air grilles were found to have air leaks, which were contributing to condensation. We removed and sealed the grilles to prevent air loss, then reinstalled them properly. We also confirmed adequate attic insulation to support moisture control and system efficiency.

The end result? By addressing humidity control, air quality, and air leakage together, this Silverhill homeowner can expect to now enjoy lower indoor humidity, reduced condensation, improved comfort year-round, and cleaner and healthier indoor air.

This project highlights how proper system enhancements—rather than full HVAC replacement—can make a significant difference in your home's comfort and efficiency.
